Organizing Your Tax Information
Wednesday, January 13, 2010 at 9:40AM By now you should have received your organizer in the mail. The organizer is an excellent tool to help you gather and organize the information we need to complete your tax return quickly. If you didn’t get one, give me a call (I am in on Tuesdays and Thursdays) and I will mail one out ASAP. Clients who have not used them in the past were not sent an organizer this year but if you would like one, it is not too late—just let me know.
Remember: If you like to keep your original documents, please make copies of them and send us the copies. We are required to keep a copy of any information that we use to prepare your return. Only send the originals if we can keep them in our files.
Also, to expedite the e-filing process, it is very important to fill out PAGE 4 and PAGE 4A completely, even if you are not using the organizer you should have received a copy of those pages in January. But don’t worry…if you didn’t get them or misplaced them, you can download a copy here.
